About this route: if you stay in south island
South island means Sunset Town, An Thoi, Khem Beach and nearby resorts.
This area is excellent if you care most about Sunset Town, Cable Car, Khem Beach and island hopping. You are already close to many south island attractions.
Day 1: check-in, beach, Vui-Fest Bazaar and show
Khem Beach is one of the easiest beach stops if you stay around south Phu Quoc.
After airport pickup, check in and rest at your hotel.
If you stay around Khem Beach or Sunset Town, the first evening is easy:
- relax at Khem Beach or hotel pool
- go to Sunset Town around 4–5 PM
- walk around Vui-Fest Bazaar
- have dinner nearby
- watch Symphony of the Sea or Kiss of the Sea if the schedule fits
- enjoy the fireworks at the end of the show
This is a very natural first-night plan for guests staying in the south.
Day 2: snorkeling by speedboat and Cable Car
The Hon Thom Cable Car gives one of the best sea views in south Phu Quoc.
Because you are already close to An Thoi, the 4 Island Tour speedboat day is easier from south island than from the north.
A good plan:
- morning pickup
- speedboat snorkeling trip
- island stops
- lunch or buffet depending on ticket/package choice
- Cable Car to or from Hon Thom
- water park or beach time if included and your group has energy
If the weather changes, this day can be swapped with a beach or private car day.
Day 3: north island day trip
Sunset Town works best from late afternoon into the evening shows and fireworks.
For your final full day, go north if you want the other side of Phu Quoc.
Possible route:
- Starfish Beach
- Vinpearl Safari
- VinWonders
- Grand World
This is a long day from the south, so I would choose the stops based on your group. Families usually prefer Safari and Grand World, while theme park lovers may spend more time at VinWonders. For a route this spread out, a private car with driver is usually easier than separate taxis.
If you prefer a slower final day, you can skip the far north and do Ho Quoc Pagoda, Sao Beach, Khem Beach, local farms and a relaxed dinner instead.
If you like fishing
If you like fishing, message me before finalizing the itinerary. I can add a fishing or squid fishing experience into the route depending on the season, weather and your hotel area.
Fishing works best when it is planned properly, not squeezed in as an afterthought.

Simple planning rule from Vu
For a 3-day trip, do not try to complete the whole island.
One big route per day is enough:
- one arrival/evening route
- one south island sea route
- one north island route
If you send me your hotel name, dates, group size and must-do activities on WhatsApp, I can tell you which route is realistic and what I would skip.
FAQ
Is 3 days enough for Phu Quoc?
Yes. Three days is enough for a first trip if you group the activities by area and do not try to rush everything.
Can I add fishing to a 3-day itinerary?
Yes. If you like fishing or squid fishing, message me with your dates and hotel area. I can suggest where it fits best.
